If You Have Ever Had an Interest...

If you have ever had an interest in airbrush designing or painting your own car, I highly recommend checking out the site AirBrushTricks.com. They have a lot of helpful advice for getting started and also some great design techniques for those with a little bit more practice. It is a hobby that is easy to get addicted to and can easily be turned around and used to make money on the side. I am currently redoing the design on an old BMX bike simply because I have recently gotten a lot more involved with all forms of biking, particularly mountain biking, and have been wanting to practice for when I paint my '85 Camaro. I will post pictures once it is finished of both the process and final product to show you how easily it can be done and in your spare time. If you are worried about breaking the bank on this, Don't be. A good compressor for a handheld airbrush usually runs for about $200, maybe more but obviously won't just be used for airbrushing and have found it an invaluable purchase for getting back into biking. A good handheld airbrush will cost around $70 or you can start out with a $50 airbrush if you aren't sure. And I buy automotive brand paint, not the super classy stuff, for $20 a can from Dupli-Color. Its a great paint for small projects however I would prefer something a little nicer when painting a car. All in all you will spend about $400 if you want to do a real nice job and the nice thing is, if you are just doing small projects, the paint will last you awhile. To sum it up, that $400 may seem like a lot, but the compressor is a great tool all around and will be in constant use beyond painting, the airbrush is good for years if maintained properly, and the paint is good for tons of projects, dependent on size of course. I suggest lining up a few projects once you get started because it really is easy and fun once you get the hang of it and get past that initial test run.

All that said, I will leave you with a video to show you what you could be doing...

HotLink: 802.22 Wi-Fi

If you're tired of your Wi-Fi cutting out you may want to think about upgrading. The new 802.22 Wi-Fi standard has a range of 62 miles as developed by IEEE (also known as the Institute of electronics geeks). This means it covers a whopping 12,000 sq. miles. Hard to believe but it is true and has been approved as the official standard.

Just look at that range...
